                                                                                        Tesoro Electronics—A Historical Perspective

Tesoro has a colorful history starting out in the families garage. Founding father Jack Gifford started working as an engineer for Bounty Hunter in 1975 and designed the TR500. Then in 1976 with a partner started C&G Technology. Jack left C&G and went to work for Fisher Research Labs in 1978 and was involved in designing the Fisher 551 and 552. Eventually Jack left Fisher and went back to Bounty Hunter then finally, in 1980 started Tesoro Electronics. Read the rest of the story at the Tesoro website.
